Dr. Carl B. Turner

Dr. Carl B. Turner, an OB-GYN in private practice in Chicago for 10 years during the 1980's and early 1990's, died unexpectedly during a trip to Lagos, Nigeria. He joined the staff of a multi-specialty practice in Morehead, KY for a number of years prior to recently becoming an active staff member at Wabash County Hospital in Wabash, IN. Dr. Turner, who was also an ordained minister, served as an associate minister at the New Covenant MB Church under the pastorate of Rev. Dr. Stephen J. Thurston. All those that knew ''Doc'' recognized that he clearly understood his ability to practice medicine was a gift from God. Dr. Turner is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patricia; one daughter, Fay Price; one son, Carl Rodgers; six grandchildren; and mother, Margaret Turner. The visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at Calahan Funeral Home, 7030 S.
