Carol Goldman Obituary

Carol Jensen Goldman, nee Jensen, age 84 of Rio Verde, Az., formerly of Rogers Park (Chicago), Il and St, Joseph, Mi. passed away suddenly on June 14th, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Sanford Myles Goldman, loving mother of Stephen (Jeanne), Elisabeth Thompson (Elliot); grandmother of Anne Marie and Seamus Goldman, Robert and Ryan Thompson. Daughter of Dorothy (Hall) and Reverend Dr. Frank T. Jensen. Her passing was followed closely by her husband of 65 years, Sanford. Carol was a long-time Rogers Parker where she was a community activist and long-time employee of the Rogers Park Community Council where she focused on senior citizen projects, housing court actions, fund raising and serving the community. Carol was also an active member of the Rogers Park Garden Club and many community organizations. Carol and Sandy lived a full life where they were able to visit 88 countries around the world. An interesting thing about "Carol and Sandy" is how many people of all ages knew and loved them. They were truly a cross-generational couple and will be missed by many Rogers Parkers, no matter how old they are and where they currently reside.

This is for both Carol and Sandy. And to whoever wrote that death notice, you hit the nail on the head with your closing line--right on target! We were neighbors and PTA parents in Rogers Park, and RPCC members and a whole bunch of other things---never political bedmates, however!
