Catalina Cruz Obituary
Catalina Cruz, nee Santos, was called home to God on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at the age of 72, beloved wife of Rosario; loving mother of Rosario Jr. (Sheila), Gladys, Louis (Esmeralda), Edgardo, Yvonne, Edwin H. (Elsa), Gaobain and Walter (Sofia); proud grandmother of 28 and great-grandmother of 19; many nieces, nephews and friend to all. Funeral Friday, Sept. 28, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. from the Walter L. Sojka Funeral Home, 1427 W. Chicago Ave., to Holy Innocents Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Maryhill. Visitation Thursday 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Edwin H. Cruz, Director. 312-666-2673.

Dear Edwin and Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother. I learned from my own experience that the tears we shed are partly due to the joy we feel knowing that our loved one will no longer have to suffer. Please be comforted by the fact that one day you will be reunited with your mother. She must have been a pretty special lady since she has one of the most thoughtful and caring sons I know.
