My husband went to NU Law School with Bob and we have been friends for many, many years. We loved Bob and Charlene. We always felt that after being with Charlene we had learned something new and were grateful for her friendship. We have a mutual friend, Molly Grabemann, who does not use the computer so she will not be able to post on this site. She was not able to attend the memorial service due to a recent fall. She does not have an address for any of the girls to write to them. She would like to talk to one or all three of Char's daughters. Would you give her a call, please. She asked us to request this when we posted our sympathy note. Sincerely, John and Pat Grady, Wilmette, IL

We are former neighbors at 1500. Years ago I remember Char walking up the 9 flights of stairs to her apartment instead of taking the elevator. When I asked her why, she said she was keeping in shape to be able to keep up with her small (at the time) grandchildren. She was a friendly, caring, creative and giving neighbor. Our condolences to Char's children and grandchildren.
