Charles A. Hildebrand of Evanston, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Mary "Lisa" Hildebrand nee Mahoney; loving father of Kenneth Hildebrand, Mary Beth (Steve) Michaels and Eileen (Paul) Bobowski; cherished grandfather of James, Will, Katie, Stephen and April; great grandfather of Charlie, Mia and Bella; dear brother of Catherine (the late William) Kennelly, Luella "Lu" (Monty) Montezon and Arthur "Jack" (Florence) Hildebrand. Visitation Thursday, Oct. 23, 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Donnellan Family Funeral Home 10045 Skokie Blvd at Old Orchard Road, Skokie. Funeral Mass Friday, Oct. 24, 10:00 a.m. at St. Athanasius Church 1615 Lincoln Street, Evanston. Entombment Private, All Saints Mausoleum, Des Plaines, Illinois. Condolences to the Hildebrand Family. I did business with Chuck 30+ years ago at Wells Mfg. He was a true gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. He and Lisa attended our wedding 33 years ago.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Chuck's passing. Only made worse by the inability to attend his services. We shared many good times together at work at Wells, at play, with our wives at Friday night dinners and on trips. Both Chuck and Lisa were such a joy to be with. I will continue to remember them often.

Charlie was a kind and decent man.Over these many years our occasional encounters always left me feeling better.We exchanged family news and always vowed to stay in touch. It never worked out. Heres sending to all thhe Hildebrands everywhere; Profond sorrow, best wishes and God bless.

Over the years my occasional contacts with Charles always left me feeling better. He was a good and caring man who bore his burdens well. Thats all we can ask. God bless all his family and all the old "Queens" crowd.

Our families were entwined for so many years at Queen of Angels, the hardware store and later in young adult years. Chuck was a kind and good man and will be fondly remembered by all the Heidkamps. Marjorie Heidkamp , BVM

I worked with Chuck for many years, always enjoyed his company at work and away. I will always remember all the fishing trips and card games with Chuck. I will miss him dearly. RIP my friend
