Christine Wray Obituary

Christine Connor Wray passed away on June 17, 2017. Chris is survived by her beloved husband John E. Wray; stepson Jeff (Mary Ann) Wray; sisters Nancy (the late Joseph) Schiller, Rita (Paul) Higgins and brother Thomas (Michelle) Connor; beloved grandmother to Alyssa and Christopher Wray; dear aunt to fifteen nieces and nephews. Chris was the beloved daughter of the late Tom and Rita Connor. Chris was a Chicago resident; formerly of Elmhurst and Charleston, Illinois and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. While living in Elmhurst, she enjoyed a successful career with Schiller Real Estate. Having grown up, and working in Elmhurst, Chris' social life revolved around family, lifelong friends and business friends. It is with great sadness that we share our loss of Chris. She will be missed by all who knew her. Chris made us smile. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal shelter of your choice.

Sleep Chris, held tenderly in the Lord's arms. There will be a day when I will come up to you and wake you so I can hug you once again and tell you how much I love you. Until then I, and the many that love you, will miss you dearly.

God's Garden
God looked around his garden
And found an empty place.
He then looked down upon the earth,
And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,
He knew that you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered Peace be thine.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
