Constance Coleman Obituary

Constance "Connie" Coleman, née Ducey, age 80 of Oak Park, beloved wife of Gary Lee Coleman, loving mother of Conal (Sarah) and Peter (Deborah) Duffy, cherished grandmother of Megan (Philip Legan), Lisa, Conal jr., Erin, Colleen, and Molly Duffy, dear sister of Joanna (Dr. Joseph) Lawton and the late Veronica Ducey, fond aunt, cousin, and friend of many. A 49-year resident of Oak Park until her death, Connie was a U.S. Department of Labor retiree, avid gardener, chorister, and lover of Baroque music. Matriculating from Manhattanville College in 1962 she was active in the civil rights movement and maintained a strong passion for social justice throughout her life.
