Cornelius Dungan Obituary
Neil is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Hecksel) Dungan of Chicago and his beloved children Cornelieus P. IV (Kimberly) of St. Augustine FL, Kathleen (Lock Nelson) of Grayslake IL, Christopher (Sue) of Arlington Heights IL, Daniel (Erlene) of Gurnee IL, his 11 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Neil was born Sept 1st 1934 in Oak Park, IL to Albert W. and Gladys (Lewis) Dungan. Dear brother of Late Marilyn (Tom) Mints, Late Sue (George) Connor, Albert (Ellen) Dungan, Tom (Susan) Dungan, and Debbie (TQII) White. Neil was a graduate of Georgetown University, a Captain in the USAF (ret), a long-time member of the Chicago Police American Legion Post 207, and an avid duck hunter.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM and followed by the service on Friday Sept 1st at First Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. 1301 N LaSalle Dr. Chicago, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Saint Paul's or a charity of your choice.

I think of my brother Neil often. I wear a c-pap for sleep apnea and I add a essential oil to make it smell nice. I found Bay Rum essential oil which Neil wore as an aftershave. It warms my heart every time to think of him when I go to sleep. Love you brother.

I was reminiscing about people I used to work with, and Neil was one of the first who came to mind. I worked with Neil in the aftermarket auto industry back in the mid-late 80s. Neil was a mentor to many of us upstarts (aka young punks) and his professionalism in everything he did influenced my work ethic quite a bit. While there was almost 30 years between us, he was as welcoming as one could be, and hopefully he felt that reciprocated. Sad to see he has gone on to his next journey. Condolences to is family. He was a fine gentleman.

Marilyn and Family: My sincerest sympathy to you for Neil´s passing. I really seeing both of you at CVS or in the neighborhood. You both brought a smile to my face.
