Kurt was a dear friend of mine in college. I haven't seen or spoken to him since 1968, yet news of his passing devastate me. Your father/fiance was a significant influence in my life. He taught me to laugh, to enjoy life, to shake off problems and so many other things. If not for knowing him, I could not have been a high school teacher for 35 years. Bless you and just remember: He is still loving you, just from farther away.

I did not know until now of Curtis's passing. Curtis and I were friends in the 70s and I will always remember the great times we had giggling and laughing. He was a great friend and fabulous photographer. I will always cherish the photos he took of me. My prayers go out to his two sons.

Curtis was both a friend and a mentor. He showed me through his own actions that it wasn't where you ended up in life but how you got there. He was one of the most kind compassionate and humble persons I have ever known, very uncommon in our business. i did not see Curtis the last couple of weeks but the last time i spoke to him He was still positive. He never wanted anyones pity, thats not how he was. I'll miss you.

How devastating this is! I have known Curtis only a short time as his Rep but in this short time I have such a fondness and respect for him. He is funny, spiritual, a deeply talented artist, dedicated and loving to his partner Eileen and his sons. I cherish the times I have spent getting to know him. My heart and prayers will be with you.

We are in total shock. Curtis was THE nicest guy. So giving, so loving and so kind and compassionate. Aside from working with him on photography needs, we once sailed with him to "dry dock" and listened to his stories about his sons and his life. We have always valued that experience. Our love and prayers to the family. He certainly was more than the sun could ever shine.

I knew Curtis long ago when we all lived on Campbell Street in Chicago Heights. I appreciated his sense of humor and style and admired his fine talent. He took one of my favorite portraits of myself @ age 15. Curtis, I hope you are enjoying the next incarnation. My sincere condolences to your family, present and past.

Eileen -
My heart goes out to you. I only met Curtis a few times, and he was a funny, wise and insightful man. Not to mention patient. This world is a sadder place without him.

I learned about Curtis' passing through a mutual friend, Carolyn Potts. I too worked with him a few years back. I didn't know him well, but what a kind and talented man he was, to be sure. I lost my husband at age 44 a few years back so I know how difficult this time is. Sending you my prayers in the time of terrible loss, Cathy

It has been many, many years (20+) since I have seen or spoken to Curtis, but we worked together early in my advertising career and I always found him to be the loveliest, kindest person. His eyes showed the honesty and openness of a child's. I will always remember his smile and am saddened by news of his passing. Sincere condolences to all his friends and family.

I knew Curtis a long time but was not lucky enough to be a close friend. He was a great human being and from stories we shared of our children I learned he was a loving father. I will miss his insights. Eilleen, I am so sorry you have lost your fiancé.
