We are very late to this site but we wanted to share that Pastor Chevrier married us at the Wellington ave church on Nov 22 1973. It will be 52 years this year. He was a wonderful man and always gave an inspiring service. We were so fortunate to have him officiate our wedding.

Eloise--such a shock to learn of Dave's death. Brief notes from the recovering Bob Lewis brought this to my attention just yesterday. How well I remember the two of you, your engagement ring with that wonderful pearl (!) and visiting you both in Saxton's River and preaching at the Academy Chapel. Such good times--so long ago. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry for the loss of your husband Eloise. I know it's hard to believe, but I've just learned about David's death the night before Christmas 2012. I've been attending St Paul's UCC and have not kept in the loop with the Wellington circle in the last 7 years. Again, I'm deeply sorry for the loss of a wonderful man who epitomized everything a pastor should be. I know he is now doing God's work in heaven. My prayers are with you and your family now and always.

Friends from Chicago let me know about David's death. So sorry I couldn't make it to the service in VT or at Wellington. David was a wonderful mentor to me, always full of energy, good humor, encouragement and an easy way of expressing his deep commitment to God's justice. He will be much missed.

I am saddened to hear of David's passing.

I was recently going through a family photo album and found the picture of Dave baptizing me at Wellington. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I was saddened to hear of Reverend Dave's passing.
He was our Pastor in Saxtons River in the sixties.
He was passionate in his service , always with an eye
to the higher morality; As an early opponent of the
Vietnam War,he did not have an easy time.
He was also my teacher in Bible studies at Vermont Academy, and he was excellent at it and was deeply
influential in my choice to study Religion later at UVM.
My deepest condolences to Eloise and Family
