David A. Fortman, age 78, retired Captain U.S.A.F., formerly of Hyannis, MA. Beloved husband of Audile nee Bourcier and the late Rosemarie nee Schneible Fortman. Loving father of Jennifer (Michael) Sato, Timothy Fortman, Madeline (Vincent III) McCarron, Christine (Christopher) Scutt and step-father of Marc (Kristin) Belanger and Eric-Paul (Kimberley) Belanger. Devoted grandpa of 13. Dear brother of Denise Sohn and the late Barbara Waldron. Visitation, Sunday, Feb.15th, from 3 to 8pm at the JOHN E. MALONEY CO. FUNERAL HOME, 1359 W. Devon Avenue, Chicago. The family & friends will meet Monday, Feb.16th, at 11:00am for funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church,(9th and Linden)Wilmette. Interment St. Henry Cemetery (Ridge Ave & Devon) Chicago. In lieu of flowers contributions to The Mayo Clinic- Attn: Hematology Dept., 200 First Street SW, Rochester, MN 55905 appreciated. Dear Audile and all of Dave's family, we are so sorry that we could not be with you at the services. My memories of Dave from St. Henry School and from Boy Scouts (with his Dad as Scoutmaster) are vivid. Ann came to know him in high school. He was smart, and always fun to be with. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
