DD was my mentor as she was to everyone I learned so much from her. I started out in the Head Start program. I was her secretary. She had a staff of family and included me. The program was reorganized. When she passed her principalship, She opened a position for me at the Mitchell School and there was a family, and I also was included. She was loved by all. when she retired, we all continued to be very close friends. I miss her still today and hold her memories close to my heart.

DD's supportive supervision of her Head Start staff was much appreciated. She supported and encouraged me during the years I worked as a para-professional. I am forever grateful. Thank you, DD.
