Deloris M. Porter, born Feb. 15, 1930 in Edwards, MS, passed Away June 22, 2008, attended Jackson State University, she was a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools and taught at William Penn School for 35 years and retired in 1993. Deloris also taught adult literacy at the City Colleges of Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Wilson Porter; loving mother of Verna Kronenberg, Aleda Snow and Shana Porter; cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Deloris was a long standing member of The Olivet Baptist Church. Wake will be held Monday, June 30, 10 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, 3240 W. 79th St., Chicago. Interment Oakwoods Cemetery. 773-821-8088.
