Don Adamowicz, age 86, of Skokie. Passed away, Friday, September 10, 2021. Retired Chicago Public School teacher. Steinmetz High School graduate. Obtained a master's degree from Northern Illinois University. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy, nee Humphreys; proud and loving father of Dreana Adamowicz (Rob) Rubel; stepfather of William Humphreys; cherished grandfather of Vanessa, Matthew, and Brooke Rubel and Ki-Jana Humphreys; fond brother of the late Edward, Emily, Anna, and Henry; dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Don lived a full life the way he wanted. He was a free spirit with a heart of gold. A great lover of jazz and many nights spent at the Green Mill. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by all the many people he touched and loved.
