Donna Desch Obituary

Donna Kay Desch, 74 of Naperville, at rest Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Edward Hospital, Naperville. She was born on September 10, 1930 in Rockford, IL to Arthur and Kathryn Thorsell. Donna is survived by her husband and best friend of 53 years, Theodore, of Naperville; her wonderful children, Steven (Lynn) Desch of Naperville, Katherine (John Nocher) Collins of Montgomery and Gregory (Magaret) Desch of Milwaukee; her precious grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, Mark and Hannah Desch, Nicholas and Cara Collins, Theodore, Elizabeth and Sarah Desch. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Teddy, and her sister Carol Thorsell. An avid birdwatcher, Donna had more than 650 different species on her North American Life list. She spent many hours in her gardens and enjoyed the company of her pet dogs. For those who prefer, the family has asked that memorials in Donna's name be made: The Nature Conservancy, 8 S. Michigan Ave., Ste. 2301 Chicago, IL 60603. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 3 until 9 p.m. at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 10 a.m. at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 1313 N. Mill St., Naperville 60563. Interment will be private.
