Dora Bubula

Dora Bubula, nee Stepenski, age 96, passed away September 11, 2021. Former resident of Roseland and Calumet City, Illinois and Munster, Indiana. Beloved wife of the late Anton "Tony" Bubula. Loving mother of Nancy, Richard (Cheryl Cramer), Lauren, Robert, and Marilyn (Dr. Richard) Harvey. Preceded in death by siblings Mary Gertzen, Joseph Stepenski, Anthony Stepenski, Helen Stepenski, Barbara Kolodziej, Ann Wynn, and Dorothy Lazuka and sisters-in-law Helen Wilk Madon and Stella Mrozek. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Dora worked for many years for the State of Illinois in the Office of the Attorney General. She retired at the age of 78 in 2003. She was a longtime member of both St. Salomea and Our Lady of Knock Parishes. For years she was active in Our Lady of Knock's St. Vincent de Paul Society. And she greatly enjoyed Holy Ghost Parish's Medical Missions knitting group.

Visitation at Burns Kish, 8415 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Indiana on Saturday, September 18, 2021, beginning at 9:00 am. Mass will follow at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 10:30 am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
