Dorothea Rogers Obituary

Dorothea A. Rogers, 72, of Barrington. A Mass of Christian Burial for her will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Anne Church, corner of Franklin and Ela Streets, Barrington, where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Born July 19, 1931, in Chicago, she passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at her home. Burial will be in Maryhill Cemetery, Niles. Ms. Rogers was a research chemist at International Harvester in Melrose Park for 25 years. She enjoyed painting, traveling, skiing, playing golf and the theatre. Dorothea is survived by numerous cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albin A. and Helen E., nee Estes. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake Cook Road), Barrington. For funeral information 847-381-3411.
