Edgar "Ed" Weiss, 82, beloved husband and best friend for over 59 years of Marlene, nee Burnstein; devoted father of Sue (Rick) Present, Richard (Susan), and the late Michael (Suzi); adored grandpa of Jacob, Matthew, Jeffrey, Cora and Samantha; dear brother of Dr. Stephen (Carol); caring uncle and friend of many. Chapel service 2:30 PM Friday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. Marlene; My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your dearest husband. There are no words that one can say that would make this time of sorrow any easier. As I too have suffered a loss such as this, I can say that although it doesn't get any better, but perhaps easier. In time, you will be able to remember the happy times and the smiles. My heart goes out to you.
