Edward "Turp" Aromi 92 beloved husband of the late Delores nee Majewski; loving father of Edward Jr. (Terry); adoring grandfather of Jennifer Benge, Edward III (Victoria), Kathleen (Michael) Brandner and great grandfather of Sean and Megan Benge, James Aromi, Hannah, Abigail and Matthew Brandner; devoted brother of Shirley Pondel and the late Alice, Phillip, Harvey "Mickey", Susan Lenick, Ruth DeWald, Raymond "Dutch", Elizabeth Gerome, and Louise Aromi; fond brother in law of Bernie (Alyce) Majewski and the late Chester and Lawrence Majewski also many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday 10 AM at the Schielka Addison Street Funeral Home 7710 W Addison St.. Entombment with military honors at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4 PM- 9 PM. Edward was a WWII Veteran, Post Commander and President of Tioga VFW Post 2149, an avid sportsman, fan and Life Member of the Int. Yesterday my grandfather passed, George eggert, and I immediately asked for my turp. Turp was my "boyfriend " at the vfw ever since I was born. Him and my grandpa we're great friends. I never knew turp passed and it breaks my heart. I miss him dearly. -"Oscar" (Katie Sampson) I know turp greeted my grandpa at heavens doors with open arms and a cold beer. I love you turp.
