My deepest sympathy to Eddie's family. I had the opportunity to only meet with him once, at the wake and funeral of his son. However, I have heard so much about him over the years that I have gotten to know his sister, Barbara. To me, he was portrayed as a kindhearted, compassionate man and the best father in the world...a man who put his family before anything else...a man who worshiped and adored his children...a man who was there for family. You may think that this can be said for every father, but that is not the case. He left a legacy to his children as they know what it was like to have the best father in the world. God will give you the strength to carry on because your Dad gave you the solid base you need in life.

He was a warrior in his fight with cancer. It is not easy to make the decisions he made to fight the fight, but he did. He is now pain free in heaven and back to the healthy man he was before this disease robbed him of his life. Try to remember him healthy and happy. I am sure you have wonderful memories of him and those memories will help you get through the difficult times. Don't think of yourself as being without him, because you are not...he will be watching over you for the rest of your lives.

God bless you all....
