Edward G. Mansell, "Uncle Ed", 88, passed away September 10, 2021, with his family at his side. Ed was a lifelong carpenter. He served in the Naval Reserve, before joining the U.S. Army and serving during the Korean War. Loving husband of Emily, nee Leavy, Mansell; proud father of Diane (Bruce) Bort and Debbie (Tony Norman) Mansell; adored papa of Jack Edward (fiancée Tonia Xu) Bort, Riley Mansell Norman, Natalie (fiancé John Regan) Bort, and Kyle Mansell Norman; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, and others who knew him as Uncle Ed. Visitation Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. Funeral services Monday, September 13, 2021, 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Alexander Church, Palos Heights, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
