Edward "Ed" Oldis, World War II Veteran, beloved husband of the late Jane and the late Evelyn, loving father of Edward D. (Nancy), Gary (Irene), Dale (Kimberly) and Mark (Stephanie), cherished grandfather of Katie (Jason), Kris (Steve), Craig (Patti), Scott (Kathy), Danylle (Andy), Emily (Kyle) and Sarah (Brian), fond great-grandfather of 17. Eddie, Gary, Dale and Mark, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I was mighty impressed by him when I was a child. Living next door to all of you was great fun.

I met Ed in the late 1960's and worked w/him. Always a perfect gentleman. Remember the death of his wife Jane. If my memory serves me correctly, his sons were hockey players. He connected me with a cousin (Preston, IA) and we would drive out there and purchase the best beef in the world. Ed was a true gentleman. Sorry for your loss. I am a Life Member of the VFW, Niles, IL.
