Landers, Elaine I. Age 83, of Sandwich, IL, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. She was born on December 4, 1930 in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Harry and Eva (Brummel) Weiten. Elaine was united in marriage in 1955 to Donald F. Landers and they spent the next 48 happy years together until his passing in 2003. She was a former member of the Fox River Art League. Elaine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Steven (Kristine Marsan) Landers of Plainfield, IL; her grandchildren, Steven (fiance?, Kelly Joan) Landers of Yorkville, IL, CW2 Robert (Erika) Landers, stationed in Seoul, Korea; Allison Landers of Plano, TX; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Brayden, and Maddox; her siblings, Bernice Rogan of Montgomery, IL, Henry Weiten of Aurora, IL, Edward Weiten of CA, and Rose Miller of Somonauk, IL; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Eva Weiten; her husband, Donald Landers; and her eight siblings, Regina, Pauline, Clarence, Genevieve, Elmer, Marian, Herbert, and Ralph. A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL. Interment will be private. Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the Hour of Service on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
