Elizabeth Cummings, beloved sister and aunt,65, of Sycamore, IL died at 4:15 PM on Friday, November 8, 2013. She was born on April 6, 1948 in Berwyn, IL to Mack and Ann (Kominiak) Pawlas. Elizabeth was employed at Northern Illinois University in the Department of teacher certification for many years. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Eberhardt; brother, Michael Pawlas; nieces, Bonnie Talbot and Carrie (Brad) Staubus; grandnieces and nephews, Steven, Carter, Claire, Luke, and Andrew Staubus. She is predeceased by her parents. There will be a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the March of Dimes. I was saddened to learn of Elizabeth's passing, having worked with her in the School of Art at N.I.U. She was an amazing wealth of information about teacher certification requirements in Illinois. She will be missed by many. My thoughts are with her loved ones during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of your loss, of Elizabeth. Word is just passing through the School of Art, this morning. I am sitting in her old office and on the wall, still, is her print of a saying, " Anything worth doing, is going to take longer than you think."
