EMILY COTSIRILOS Obituary
Emily Cotsirilos, nee Constantopoulos, age 92, beloved wife of the late George; devoted and cherished mother of Elaine (Nick) Thomopoulos, Stathia (George) Xanos, Pauline Wiseman and Peter (Nancy); dearest grandmother of Marie (Mathieu) Sussman, Melina (Joe) Collins, Diana (Mark) Patterson, Christopher Thomopoulos, Nicholas Xanos, Michael Walsh, Rex (Margo) Wiseman, Stefan Wiseman and George Cotsirilos; and great-grandmother of Lauren, Daniel, Jillian, Grace and Michael; dearest sister of the late Bessie Siavelis, Pauline George and Ted Constant; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Emily was also active in various community groups, including the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church Women's Club, Hellenic Foundation Women's Auxiliary and the Daughters of Penelope. Visitation Thursday, Nov. 19, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Salerno's Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave., Chicago. Relatives and friends will meet Friday morning, Nov. 20, at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S. Central Ave., Chicago 60644 for 10:30 a.m. funeral service. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wishing Well nfp (serving developmentally disabled adults), 9610 W. Manhattan Monee Rd., Frankfort, IL 60423, Greek-American Nursing Home, 220 1st St., Wheeling, IL 60090 or Assumption Church. Arrangements by Nicholas M. Pishos Funeral Director. Ltd. Dear Elaine and entire family:
I was sadddned to read your Mother's obit. I had the pleasure to work with her in The Hellenic Foundation Women's Auxiliary and she was an asset. Always co-operative, smiling and assisted where needed doing her job quietly, no fanfare.
I know you will all miss her very much. It is wonderful to have your Mother for the years you had to enjoy.

Dear Stathia, Elaine and Pauline.
Please accept our sincerest condolences on the recent passing of your lovely Mother, Emily. She was a very elegant lady who contributed her time, talents and resources to Assumption Church, the Hellenic Foundation, Philoptochos and many other charitable organizations. I regret I am currently in Springfield and cannot attend her services.May her memory be eternal!
