Dear Ellen, Daniel and Jillian - I am sad to hear that Eric passed. I was privileged to work for and learn from him at Joss Equities. He was smart and kind and always put his family and friends first. He exemplified one who lived his values and enjoyed his life. It has been a few years now and I hope you're all getting on okay and comforted by your memories of being with Eric. Sincerely, Nancy Trock

Dear Joss Family

Eric and I shared an apartment in Ann Arbor when we were both working on our MBA's. My future wife, Renée, and I had many wonderful conversations with Eric during her visits and later, when we set up housekeeping in Ann Arbor. Renée was not native American so she and "the rug" as he was known at our Packard Ave man cave, spoke of the transition to American life. Eric introduced us to some of his favorite music and they became our favorites too Last summer, we reconnected when I was in Chicago. I spent the morning with Ellen and Eric and we talked about the old days and Renee who had passed away less that 6 months before my visit. Now I share your pain, dear Ellen, and my heart goes out to you and your children. I will think of my friend Eric each Friday with I say Kaddish.

To the Joss Family.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Eric today. He was my mentor and took me under his wing at Klaff-Joss. He recognized my potential and had was very instrumental in my life long successes. I owe him a lot today.

Again, my condolences to Ellen, Daniel and Jillian.

Rick and I were very saddened and shocked to hear of Eric's death. There were many wonderful moments we spent with you and will remember him always. We now cherish running into you at the Symphony as that was the last time we saw Eric. His kindness and smile will stay with us for always. Wishing you strength and love Ellen, Daniel and Jillian. Love Judy and Rick Perlman

Dearest Ellen, Dan and Jillian
It has been so long....yet because of "fate" we were connected again through Kyle....I remember with great joy knowing Eric and appreciating him during the most painful time of the family's life..I remember taking to him about South Africa...and his dreams of moving to the US...I have kept very few "things" from my days at Emanuel...but the stain glass window of the Tree is always with me
It now hangs in my apt in Rio de Janeiro....
I am so sorry for your loss....his smile and warmth did not die!
May his memory always be the enduring blessings he created.
You are all in my prayers...
