Frances Flambouras Obituary

Frances Flambouras, nee Chrisos, beloved wife of the late George A. (Flames) Flambouras; loving mother of Cassandra and Andrew (Laurie) Flambouras; devoted daughter of the late William and Sophia Chrisos; dear sister of James (the late Virginia) Chrisos and the late Bessie (the late John) Marousis; fond aunt, cousin and friend of many. Frances served the children of Des Plaines School District No. 62 for 23 years and was one of the founding members of St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Des Plaines. Visitation Wednesday, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Smith-Corcoran/ Glenview Chapel, 1104 Waukegan Road. Family and friends will meet Thursday morning at S.S. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Road (at Lake Ave.), Glenview, IL 60025, for funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to S.S. Peter & Paul Church or the Greek American Rehab & Nursing Centre, 220 First St., Wheeling, IL 60090, or Northwestern Memorial Foundation (Hospice), 676 N. St. Clair, Ste. 720, Chicago, IL 60611. Arrangements by John G. Adinamis Funeral Director, Ltd. 847-901-4012.
