We were shocked to learn on the passing away of manong Toti Juan. On behalf of Flora (Nene) Abeto Zaide-Valencia, who is my wife. Dear Isabel and family:
As a fellow UP graduate, we communicated by e-mail , cousin Raul Sunico introduced us and we finally met at the UPAAA Chicago convention in 2000, working on a presentation together. For the Centennial Celebration, he also made referrals to help me reach out to alumni for the Memoirs of UP Alumni Abroad. I will always remember him as a friend and loyal UP alumnus till the end. May he rest in peace.

Isabel and kids,
We're sorry to hear of Toti's passing. It was rewarding to be able to work with him in the Philippine Community's first Simbang Gabi's final night celebrations in the mid-80s at the Holy Name Cathedral and likewise seeing both of you at Dr. and Dra. M's. residence at Melrose Park during some of their Christmas gatherings.
We'll always remember those days.
The Philippine community has lost a leader and a father.

I remember very clearly how you and Tito Toti welcomed our Filipino class of KGSM '86 and many classes before and after us into your home. We could always count on your warm hospitality and delicious meals to help us feel a little less homesick.
Tito Toti was a kind and generous man who we will always remember fondly.

Dear Isabel and Family,
My prayers and sincere condolence. Toti is a frat brod (Pan Xenia) and a good friend. The last time I saw him here in Manila was when he attended the reunion of the "Golden Oldies" (graduates of UP, who were 70 years old and over then-4 yrs ago?)...I took some pics and forwarded to him...during our conversation, I found out that Toti usually gathers graduate students from the Phils enrolled at Kellogs...my son Mark got his MBA there.
I will forward the sad news to the Pan Xenia website and let others know.
As we reach the "diamond" year of 75, more and more of us move on to the next higher level...

Isabel & Family: We were shocked and very saddened to hear of Francisco's passing. We knew of his recent operation, but he did not sound at all pessimistic. George is pleased that he had a chance to see him last November in New York. We're sure that the Planmetrics alumni will all miss him as a friend and our gracious host for so many gatherings.
