Fred Arthur Engers, age 61, loving husband of Joanne, beloved son of Lucy and the late Fred R.; devoted father of Erika M. Engers, Tamara L. (Robert) Prentiss and Michael G. Engers, grandfather of Caitlin, Collin, Corey and Casey Prentiss, devoted brother of Thomas A. (dear friend, Barbara Leister), Joan (Joseph) Burns, the late Mary Kay Thyfault; brother-in-law of Martha Donlan, Kathleen (William) Arenz, Marcella (Robert Nordhaus) Hollmann, Thomas (Jann) Hollman, the late Louis (Mary) Hollmann, John (Polly) Hollmann and Rosemarie (Tom) McSweeney; uncle of Rachel Engers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, corner of Jewett and Standish, Elgin, Illinois. Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 9 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles, Illinois.
