George Karas Obituary
George James Karas of Boca Raton, FL passed away surrounded by his wife and children on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at the age of 79. Born in Chicago, IL on March 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Chris and Constantina Kalopeses and brother of Sophie Pontikis. George was a successful business owner, dedicated and hardworking, but always had time for fun with family and friends. George loved life and his kind heart and infectious smile drew others to him. He was a friend to everyone and the light in any room he was in. George was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather and his family brought him immeasurable pride and joy. George's memory and the way he lived his life will be treasured and celebrated by his wife of 42 years, Carol Karas, son Chris Karas, daughter Carrie Bosco, son-in-law Gary Bosco, grandchildren Hannah, Ella, Grace, and Jack, along with numerous extended family and thousands of friends. George made this world a better place and he will be deeply missed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N. Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, FL 33487.

As a child growing up I was so excited when my father would tell me we're going to visit Uncle George and Emil because my dad would sit and talk to Emil and George would be so excited to see me and my Mom' Family album there's a picture of me and Uncle George standing in front of his Hot Dog Stand In Chicago and are smiles showed another great day with Uncle George!

In loving memory of a wonderful person. I have known you for 27 years, since I was a little girl at the age of 4. Always came yo your office at work and go to have nice conversations and have donuts with you. You are one of the nicest people I have ever met!! May you R.I.P. We will love you and miss you always.
