George C. Lundberg

On March 7, 2022, George C. Lundberg, 84, husband, loving father and grandfather passed from this life. George grew up with a passion for the old west and a romanticized western way of life. He also enjoyed ham radio and computers as a lifelong hobby. George never fully retired. After a long career as an electrician at the Nabisco Chicago factory, he worked at a local tobacco shop and finally at the local hardware store in his hometown of Minooka, where he loved helping his customers. As a young man out of high school, George got to work with his father at the old Chicago Stockyards. Those times were among his favorite memories. George was preceded in death by his son, William (Bill). He is survived by his sons, Michael, Raymond, and Steven, and by his grandchildren, George William, Pamela, and Alison. He will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held by his sons at a later date.
