C.F.D., beloved husband of Alice, nee Bleskan, of 57 years; dear father of Susan O'Halloran, Debra Verschelde and Mary Mayer; loving grandfather of Christy O'Halloran and James Mayer; special friend of Kevin Fitzgibbons. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m., from Beverly Ridge Funeral Home, 10415 S. Kedzie Ave., to Queen of Martyrs Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9 p.m. 773-779-4411.

As a friend of Deb's for many years I know what a good man Mr. Verschelde was to his friends, coworkers and especially to his family. He will be missed by all, but to have made such an impression on the world and future generations is a credit to him. My deepest sympathy to his friends and family.
