R. Allan Curtis

It is with great sadness that we, the Active Bible Church of God mourn the passing of our Brother and Deacon Gerry Bernardo. His great presence will leave a void in the Music and teaching Ministries of the ABCOG and Downers' Grove churches which were part of his Mission Field. The knowledge that we will see him again in the resurrection brings a peace beyond understanding. However, we join together in prayer for the strength of Sheila, Heather, Tara, Faye, Lee, Cody, Rachel, Chelsea, Michael, Stephanie, Daniel, Hilary, Maddie, Tyler, Anthony, Warren, Allan, and the rest of the bereaved family.(and apologies for anyone that we have omitted.) Again, we know that Gerry will be resurrected and we will be with him again, but that doesn't remove the grief that we all feel right now. We remain as one in love and surround this family with love in their time of their grief.

I always knew that I was safe when Gerry had cleared a tank for me to enter. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. It was a pleasure to work with Gerry over the past seven years.

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Gerry Bernardo. His help and generosity over the years will never be forgotten. He was more than a business associate, he was truly a friend.

My deepest sympathy to Gerry's family. I too was fortunate to have known Gerry for about the past six years. I work at the Best Western in Sturgeon Bay where he stayed when he was in town. He always greeted me with kind words and a friendly smile (and sometimes even a piece of cheesecake). He was sure to take five minutes out of his busy schedule to hold a conversation with me about his family as well as mine. Certainly one of the sweetest people I have ever met...he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Gerry's family for your loss. Gerry was a friend and colleague, during my tenure in the Marine industry. He will be missed by all that knew him. God bless

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Gerry Bernardo. Gerry was a friend and business associate for 35 years as a Marine Chemist, surveyor, instructor and teacher. Gerry taught experienced and in-experienced tanker-men and marine professionals the dangers of confined spaces on board tankers, ships and in ship yards. His ability to infect the serious nature of confined spaces and their explosive nature with humor will be missed. Gerry would say: 'there is no tweet-ment for this Canary-ial disease..' Gerry and his humor will be in our hearts forever.

My deepest sympathy to Gerry's family. I worked with Gerry on every trip he made to Bayship in Sturgeon Bay and will always remember the laughter and jokes we shared after his signature was on the papers that made the job "SAFE for WORKERS" & "SAFE for HOT WORK". Evidently his Services are needed elsewhere and I sure hope it's the same place we're ALL going. You will be in my prayers my FRIEND along with your Family. Until we meet again. May God Bless

Our deepest sympathy as you go through this difficult time. A special memory of the trip to England, back in 1984, comes to mind. I think there were 18 of us all traveling by train. We were gone for three weeks. So, we have many great memories of that special time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

The Muskies hearts are saddened with your loss of Gerry. Gerry's life and all that he was to you as family, to friends, and to his Muskie team mates. I remember him mostly as from my youth tagging along with the Moose to go deer hunting near the Moon Beach camp and I have fond and pleasant memories of the Bernardo family and their hospitality they showed our family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Gerry's family. He will be missed dearly. Everytime I'd see Gerry he would have a new "joke" he'd have to tell me. Thank-you Gerry for the memories and laughs.. I will miss you.

We are truly saddened by the sudden loss of Gerry. We have known him as a business associate, and we considered him a good friend. Our hearts are saddened with you. We thank God for Gerry's life and all that he was to you as family, to friends, and to the church. We remember him mostly as a youth from his days at Moon Beach and have pleasant memories of his piano playing and being a part of the Moon Beach operation. God be praised for the Bernardo family and all that they did for the youth and families of the United Church of Christ in Wisconsin!
May our Lord now take Gerry to himself, that he may be with all the saints in glory, including his parents. God is able where we are unable, and God always has the last word, which is RESURRECTION! We send our love and sympathy to you.
