I enjoyed working with Jerry at the Park Ridge City Hall. He was always very kind and considerate to the people working there and the citizens of Park Ridge. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Cecelia,
Jerry represented dignity and class to our profession. I learned much from him during my time in Thornton. Sandy and I have fond memories of the two of you opening your home to host a reception for us upon our move from New Jersey to Colorado in 1983. The last time I ran into Jerry was at an ICMA conference, at which time I was reassured by him that your return to the Chicago area had provided you with plenty of opportunities to find some crusty Italian bread (unlike that found in Denver that you had described to me as having "the consistency of Wonder Bread"). So many years ago... but it seems like only yesterday. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family in the loss of a sensitive and thoughtful husband and father.

When Jerry was the City Manager of Lake Forest, I worked with him as The City's Financial Advisor for debt financings. Jerry continued and enhanced The City's tradition that "Lake Forest does things right!" He was in every way a true gentleman.
