Sorry to hear about Geralds passing. It has been some years since we shared so much "family history". I enjoyed his company the few times we got together. He will be missed.

SAYING FAREWELL
Grief never ends, But it changes. It’s a passage, Not a place to stay.
The sense of loss Must give way, If we’re to value The life that was lived.
Grief is not a sign of weakness, Nor a lack of faith, It is the price of love.

MEMORIES
We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
And the days before that, too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories,
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in His Keeping.
We have you in our Heart.

Gerald was a tremendous help in recording his Troutman lineage. I enjoyed his many letters with family information and old photos to be added to our Troutman research. Esther and I remember his visit to Dalton, Ohio when he was in the Wooster area doing research. We will remember him well for his hand written research in the days of computer e-mails
Thanks to his children for their call.

I worked with Gerald for 25 years at the hospital pharmacy. He helped me start researching my family history. He was a true and valued friend. Carol and I will miss him always.
