Geraldine "Gerry" Oberg, nee Hanson, age 96, beloved wife for 70 years to David E. Oberg. Loving mother of Janice (Ki) Adams and Ken (Wendy) Oberg. Cherished grandmother of Allison (Jason) El Koubi, Taylor (Andreas) Christl, Lindsey Oberg and David Oberg. Dearest great-grandmother of Marc David, Madeleine, Jackson and Oliver. Fond sister of Dorothy Harmon. Dear aunt of numerous nieces and nephews and friend of many. Gerry's family would like to give special thanks to her loving caregiver, Laura Olund, her doctor, John Herbick, D.O., and the wonderful people at Palos Hospital Hospice. Lying in State Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. at Christian Hills Church, 9001 W. 159th St., Orland Hills, IL 60487. Burial Tuesday at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gerry can be made to Christian Hills Church for the work of their missionaries.
