Gertrude Goldfine (nee Schwartz), age 88. Beloved wife of the late Fred. Loving and devoted mother of Barry (Linda) and Lee (Rosa) Goldfine. Very proud grandmother of Adam (Kristin), Alicia and Daniel and great-granddaughter Olivia. Dear sister of Sara Schwartz and the late Ida (the late Morris) Ephron and the late Samuel (survived by Hazel) Schwartz. Dear sister-in-law of the late Milton and Anne Goldfine. Dear aunt of many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Graveside service Sunday, 1:30 P.M at Westlawn Cemetery-Westlake Section, 7801 W. Montrose, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation or the Susan G. Komen Foundation. My mom was very sad to hear of Gert's passing. She has such loving memories of the entire Goldfine family going back 70 years.
Gert was such a wonderful and warm individual.... Our hearts and thoughts go out to her entire family.

Over and over again when I think of Gert the definition of a true Lady comes to mind.I will cherish the memories we had this past Thanksgiving.I wish I would have had more time to know you better.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family with grace and love and allowing me to have another wonderful grandmother. Watching you with Olivia melted my heart ever time you held her. You were and always will be the woman I attain the be and have shown me how to meet each day with love and class. Miss you always. Love you.
