Giovina Del Medico, age 87 of Naperville, formerly of Franklin Park, IL. She passed away peacefully, Sat., Jan. 6, 2018 at St. Patrick's Residence of Naperville. She was born Sept. 27, 1930 in Triggiano Bari, Italy to her loving late parents, Francesco and Angela Raimondi. Cherished wife of the late Francesco Del Medico, wedded on July 13, 1954. Beloved mother of Angela (Dr. Daniel) Short of Naperville, the late Anna Maria (Alex) Zani of Boston, MA, and the late Michael Del Medico. Adored grandma of Alexander Zani, Daniel (Bethany) Short, Jr., Andrew Zani, Michael Short, Lisa Short and Patrick Short. Dearest sister of Joseph (the late Filomena) Raimondi, Clara Losurdo, Maria (Michael) LaGioia, Regina (Dino) Carbonara, and the late John (Maria) Raimondi. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Giovina was an avid cook and loved to spend time with her family. She loved traveling the world, especially the Holy Land and Rome. Giovina will be deeply missed especially as the Matriarch of her family. Memorials to St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL 60563.
