Glenn Marshall Obituary

Glenn Corday Marshall age 66, U.S. Navy Veteran, departed this life Tuesday January 3, 2017 after a long illness. Born and raised in Memphis, TN. Glenn graduated from South Side High where he was an academic stand out and band musician, and moved to Chicago after his years of Naval service following high school graduation. He continued his love of music as a member of various r&b and gospel bands, and was employed well over a decade at US Steel's South Works plant until it closed. He is preceded in death by mother Geraldine Marshall-Ammons, maternal grandmother & grandfather Ophelia & Claud Marshall, aunt's Mattie Garrett and Charlene Marshall and uncle & aunt the late Rev. Benny & Edna Warren (of Memphis TN). Glenn is survived by his sister Rosalind Ammons of Chicago, aunt Claudie Flynn (Fred) of Flossmoor, IL, uncle Claud Marshall Jr. (Val) of Lithonia, GA., aunt Michelle Marshall-Smith (Jerry) of Crown Point, IN, "special" cousin Ann Carter Nelson of Memphis, TN, and a host of cousins and friends. Glenn accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and re-affirmed his commitment in recent years. God Grant Him Eternal Peace. Arrangements are pending the week of January 8th with Taylor Funeral Home of Chicago.
