H. Gary Metzger, Ph.D., age 57, suddenly, beloved husband of Judith; loving father of Valeria and Lizabeth; devoted son of Ethel and the late Meyer; cherished brother of Lynn (Robert) Blanchard and Michael (Isabel Safora) Metzger; adored nephew of Raye Dinnerstein, Joe (Elayne) Metzger and the late Frances (the late Sam) Warsh; proud son-in-law of Olga (the late Louis Klein) and Leo Grossman; dear brother-in-law of Katherine (Bruce) Rabin; fond uncle of Jessica, Amanda, Adam, Carolyn and Ari; Gary is also survived by his loving cousins, relatives and treasured friends. Service Friday April 13, 2001, 1:30 p.m. at The Piser Chapel, 5206 N. Broadway. Interment Rosehill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be made to the Bernard Zell Anshe Emet Day School, 3760 Pine Grove, Chicago, IL 60613 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
