Harold W. Carlson

Harold W. Carlson passed away on March 16th, 2021 in Naples Florida. Apart from a short stint in Naples Florida and a year in Phoenix, AZ, Bing was a Chicagoan. He had a phenomenal love of family and the great outdoors. He generously gave of himself to his community and his faith. He was a regular guy who loved the comradery of his fellow humans. His love for his wife came easy and grew stronger as time took its toll on both he and his love. He developed ALS in his later years but maintained an incredible attitude throughout. Back in 1982 when asked, "How-do-you-do it? How do you go and do the same thing day after day and not get bored?" His answer - "Happiness is a choice." "You wake up in the morning with a blank slate. You can make a choice to face the day with a positive or a negative attitude. I choose to be positive." That was the motto of his life and those around him benefitted from that choice – It's another beautiful day!

He is survived by many who will remember his love of life, his devotion to family, and especially, his enduring and optimistic spirit.
