harry and i were great friends through high school and then into our mid twenties. our paths crossed every few years from then on. no one was ever happier than harry; he owned one of the best laughs of all times and i could hear him as if he were next to me. when we last saw each other a couple of years ago he hadn't changed a bit. i loved him then and will always miss him. my heartfelt sympathies to the applebaum family

Harry and I became friends at age 13. We played sports, music, and hung out from that time on. We wrote alot of music togeather and had some memorable jam sessiona in the last 20 years. It was almost impossible to not have fun hangin out with Harry. I'll always be happy when I think about our friendship. May he rest with GOD always.

My condolences to the Applebaum family on your loss (and ours) of a great person. Harry was always a generous and likeable person. There were many times that we were either at the casino or race track where he'd offer me his tips or asked if I needed $10 or $20 to try to bail out of the hole. I remember running into him in Las Vegas one time and he was running low on dough and asked him if he needed a few bucks. He said not yet and that he was going to go play 25 cent video poker at the bar. Well I went up to him a little while later and he hit 4 of a kind for $350!!! It kept him going for the rest of the trip, I think, and he preceeded to pick up a lady at the bar shortly there after. What Charm he had. I miss the softball playing days but will especially miss the fishing trips we went on. He was my fishing partner (and, of course, drinking too). Oh what fun we had! My thoughts and prayers will be with you for a long time Harry!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Harry was a great guy with a heart of gold a wonderful laugh to go with those sparkly twinkly eyes. Last time I saw Harry, he and Larry (Deitz) and I went and rented boats in Lincoln Park, I'd swear it felt like we were back in high school laughing and telling stories. He had a strong spirit and is very much alive in my heart.Thninking about him puts a smile on my face. He will be missed.

Ba, Ba, Barbara Ann... I was one of the kids in the original band that Harry was in as a kid. Marty, Richard, Alan, me and on occassion Gary.
Every time I'd see Harry at reniuons he'd remind me of our grade school/early high school band. Not bad things to visit about every 10 years or so when we'd meet.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

I went way back with Harry to when we were in 7th grade. Had a lot of fun times playing music (in a rock band where Harry was the singer), sports, annual Las Vegas outings. All of us loved when he had his special "feelings" when we played roulette or other games. Sometimes they even worked! I think about all night parties at my parents' apartment in East Rogers when we were in high school (when they were out of town). Harry was the Mather connection to us Sullivan students and we met a lot of people through him. Harry was a lot of fun, always upbeat and positive. We were hoping one day he was going to come out here to Tempe and are saddened that he can't. We'll miss you a lot Harry and love you. Keep the golf game going up there.
