Memories of ice cream cones on a summer day, hot cashews from Marshall Fields, you winning a bowling ball, bag and shoes and all the laughter that it brought considering you had never even bowled!!! A wrong number called at the house one day asking for Helen and though he had been calling for a different Helen, he ended up calling you back and asking you out!! Leave it to Aunt Helen for never having a dull moment and always an adventure to tell, regale and enjoy! Your wedding when you were 62 years old dressed in full bridal gown, mass and reception and how everyone danced the night away! You brought laughter and silliness to many events. Sadly, later years brought sorrow and sadness, too. Yet, through it all, we are family. You are with your sisters, your brother, your parents, and Deb and extended family and lots of friends. There must be a real party going on up there in heaven right now with a big reunion. Hope you are truly at peace and heaven is rocking! Thank you for the good memories and for the sad ones, well, they too, are part of us, but God grants us grace and we in turn, must grant it to all of those around us. We hope you are truly at peace and in God's loving arms and showered with his grace. May you be in his tender care as we hope to be too, when we meet with you again some day. Until then, (and always!) may love and peace be yours and may you be having an awesome time up in heaven with God and your family and friends!
Until we meet again,
Love,
Your niece Maureen and John
