Howard Morton Obituary
Howard A. Morton, born April 8, 1921, passed away on July 30, 2016; Beloved husband of the late Roberta Kay; Loving father of Randy (Laura) Morton, and Barbara (Gary) Ross; Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Nika), William, Sarah, Linnea, Cheyenne, and Sage; Dear son of the late Gunnar and Edith Morton; Howard graduated from North Park Academy and Northwestern University; He served four years in the U.S. Navy, over two years aboard the LST40; Upon return, he worked as a mason contractor and later retired from Fannie Mae (FNMA); He served on the boards of Augustana Hospital and Swedish Retirement Association; He was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; Funeral service will be Wednesday August 3, lying in state at 10 am until time of service at 11 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Elmdale, Chicago; Interment private; Visitation will be Tuesday August 2, from 4-9 pm at Drake & Son Funeral Home; 5303 N.
