I had Mr Witt as a Loyola Park Camp Counselor back in 1964 via Chicago Park District. He taught us a lot including some drama as well as social behavior such as responsibility mainly for our selves. He was such a nice brilliant person who will be forever missed. Sincerely Abel Edelstein

Dear Josh, condolences from Walt Olhava on the passing of your father. I came across his obit in the Tribune today. I met him a time or two in our association. He had a long and commendable career, congrats on that (no piece of cake). Also, on the passing of your mother, who was listed in the obit. She was gracious in letting us crash there during our visit to D.C. Say hey to Robin (saw a review of a play she directed about 1 year ago) and Deborah (CPD!). If it moves you, [email protected]. P.S., Maryland?

To the Witt family,
My deepest sympathies on your loss. I always found him to be a personable and affable man. Howard and I crossed paths many times in the period of our life.
I went to Von Steuben with him, although I left for Lane after the first year. We then met again at Goodman Theater. After that I left for NYC and I believe he went to LA. A couple of years later we met again in LA as he was getting ready to leave for Big Apple and on to a successful life. I applaud him on making a wonderful career in a most difficult profession!
Streams of light break through the Heaven and lift the spirit. surely his as well.

On behalf of the Jewish War Veterans of Illinois and the notability the JWV Korean War Unit, may we express our condolences to his family, many friends and fellow actors. His military service supported the Republic of South Korea philosophy Freedom is Not Free, as his served his county and family with distinction. His devotion to his family and his distinguished career acting career made all of us from Albany Park proud. Our thoughts are with his family. Dr. Jerry Field, (Ed.D) JWV Post Commander 710.
