I met my future and current wife in 1972 when we were paired up together by the Professor in one of his Popular History classes at Northeastern. We are both saddened to read of his death.

Leslie, not sure if you remember us from way back in the early days of Northeastern days. You and Fred actually came to our wedding back in March of 1971. First, let me say that I am deeply saddened with the passing of Fred and want to relay our deepest condolences.. I admired Fred for his vision in providing new and unique teaching techniques that inspired his students to want to learn. He undoubtedly was the best professor I ever had. Just as important though, I considered him a friend. Even though the years have passed, I consider our friendship and his teachings as one of the most positive impacts on my life.
