Karen, I saw Jack's Obit in the Tribune. My prayers and sympathy go out to you and your sons. I'm sure he will be missed but he is in good hands now. My wife Sally and I met you once with my cousin Hal and we had lunch together. To my regrets, I never had a chance to meet more of the Pearse family. Apparently, the Hammerle and Pearse family did not keep in touch many years ago. The only one that I can remember as a small child was my Aunt Anne, who was my Godmother, because she always sent me a small gift on my birthday. My hope is that God will take care of you.

Jack helped shape so many young lives. He turned a group of kids playing rugby at UIC into a team. There's 100's of us that can't thank him enough for his efforts over the years. He made a difference in the world. The relationships that continue to this day and the team he built are an inspiration. Coach Jack will be missed.
