JACKIE MUNSON

Jackie "Jack" Munson, age 76, passed away Jan. 17 after an extended illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecelia Townsend Munson, John Munson; and sister, Anna Mae LaPaglia. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Pamela Munson; children, Nancy Smith (Jonathan), Thomas Munson, David Munson (Julie), Beth Munson; grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney, Jacob, Christopher, Connor and William; niece, Sharon (Eddie) Craddick; nephew, Vince (Toni) LaPaglia; along with extended families in England the Batty's, Smith's and Hanifan's. In 1971 after 20 years of service, retired from the U.S. Navy as Radioman Chief Petty Officer First Class with numerous commendations and citations. During this time, serving in Vietnam and Beirut. Retired from McMaster Carr, Elmhurst IL. after 18 years. Graduate of Lane Tech High School, and Wright College. Jack was a wonderful father and generous friend, who had a great sense of humor, loved by all who met him. His family was the joy of his life; he was a lifelong die hard Cub Fan. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude and American Diabetes Association. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Jan 30, 2 p.m., at Lauterburg-Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E.
