I first met Jim in 1986. In all the time I knew him, he never had an unkind word for anyone. But most of all, he had a sense of fairness and humor. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy goes out to his lady, Rita, and the entire Berg family.

Jim was a graduate of Southern Illinois university, Carbondale, and an active participant in the Annual Chicagoland Saluki Golf Scramble. He attended many of the SIU/alumni events in the Chicagoland area. Jim and his faternity brothers always had a good time at our events. SIU will miss Jim.
