I love you. You raised me. I will never stop looking up to you and feeling your advise. Whether it was you getting me out of the house for a walk, going fishing, or just exploring. You made sure I felt like your daughter, wanted and allowed to be curious. I love you... eternally until we meet again, your Megan

Jimmy was my step dad. He taught me to tie my shoe laces. He taught me how to ride a bike. I alway imagined, he would be the father figure who would walk me down the aisle. My heart constantly breaks that he isn´t here. I still to this day talk aloud to him, as if he is here. I love you more than words can communicate. You showed me true love. You showed up for me as child, you didn´t have to... but you took me in. I love you forever... I will meet you on the other side with the biggest hug

Dear Ann and Borem Family,
I just found out last night about the passing of Jimmy. I am so deeply sorry for you and your family. I have such fond memories of Jimmy. I have been thinking about his wonderful smile, wise cracking sense of humor and charming personality. I have been thinking about all the time we use to hang out at your house and how important that all was to me. I am so sorry that he has gone much, much too early. I will always remember Jimmy and will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. While it has been such a long time since I have seen or talked to you Ann, I will always remember your family and the times we had together. May God bless you with comfort. Love, Lori Margentina

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Borem family, family friends and my dear friend, Suzy Grossman.
I met Jimmy about a year and a half ago when visiting the Chicago area over the holidays. My daughter had driven from down state Illinois to pick me up at the airport and then we were to join Suzy and Jimmy for dinner that evening. As luck would have it as it always does over the holidays, the entire state was experiencing a heavy snow storm. Naturally, my flight was delayed and we didn’t arrive until midnight. Late, tired, hungry and exhausted we were greeted with open arms and Jimmy’s good humor. It was as if my daughter and I had checked into a five star hotel. Jimmy helped us unload our luggage, park our car, he carried our luggage to our rooms, ordered pizza and even went out into the storm to pick it up. Jimmy was absolutely the best!
Eight months later I returned to Chicago again, and again Jimmy was an amazing host, friend and my personal tour guide. He met me with open arms as well as his amazing smile. Even though I had worked in Chicago years prior, a lot has changed and Jimmy was eager to give me the full tour. We walked up and down the lake front for hours enjoying good conversation and the beautiful weather until Suzy arrived home later that day. Later that week, Jimmy insisted my tour would not be complete until we rode bikes down Michigan Avenue. So again were off and exploring the area, ridding all the way down Michigan Avenue. Another beautiful day, great conversation and a whole lot of fun! Jimmy made this visit one of the best visits ever to Chicago! Thanks Jimmy …… May you rest in peace!

Renee and I were shocked to hear of our dear friend Jimmy's passing. Jimmy was a nice young man who would give you the shirt off of his back, and he was funny. When I saw Jimmy on my caller I. D., I knew it was always going to be a hilarious conversation one adventure after another. Jimmy and I would laugh so hard about the most ridiculous things, that we often dropped our phones because our laughter went out of control. Jimmy's humor would allow me to momentarily escape into another world. Jimmy was always there when we needed him. He was very generous with his time. He did everything from helping me fix things around the house to giving his friend a ride to the airport.
Renee and I miss our friend and we both have been praying and reflecting about our friend's passing.
May God be with our friend Jimmy and comfort Suzy, MaryPat, Jake and his family and friends in their time of sorrow.
We will miss you Jimmy and we know you are looking down on us.
Mark, Renee, Maggie, and JR.

I want to express my deepest condolences to MaryPat, Suzy and the Borem family.
Jimmy and I were good pals that met far too late in life. If I could sum up my relationship with jimmy, I would have to say that he would be my "Go to guy" if I were ever in a pinch. He was the kind of guy that never batted an eyelash to help out a friend. If he couldn't jump to the occasion he would figure out a way to make it happen as soon as possible.
I will never forget our same love of great little Chicago eateries or the Sundays at work when we would trade off the great places we ate and the food we brought home after those days.
I am at my cottage in Canada where Jimmy and I visited. I am plantng an oak tree in honor of Jimmy and our friendship.
Jimmy,I will truly miss you.

I was privledged to be in a business with Jimmy and spend time with him this past year in Detroit at a convention. I really enjoyed the road trip home and stopping at the hand made Truffle store. Jimmy enjoyed life and spending time with his love, Suzy. I was glad to know him. Rest in Peace Jimmy.
